CLINTON AND DAVIS POST A-10 BEST MARKS EARLY IN WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD SEASON

PHILADELPHIA- Junior Rachel Clinton and freshman Erin Davis have established impressive marks early into the 2004 outdoor track & field season. Clinton, the reigning A-10 Conference Indoor 55-meter hurdles champion posted the conference fastest-time and an ECAC-qualifying mark of 14:26 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Raleigh Relays on March 27. The ECAC qualifying time in the 100-meter hurdles is 14.44.

Davis, who placed seventh in the 2004 ECAC Indoor Championships, has been impressive throughout her freshman year. She recorded an ECAC-qualifying and conference best 5-8 mark in the high jump in her first collegiate outdoor meet at the Quaker Invitational in historic Franklin Field on March 20. Davis conference best leap (5-8) is two inches higher than any other competitor in the A-10 Conference this season. The ECAC qualifying mark is 5-7 (1.70m) in the high jump.
