MEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO VILLANOVA, 6-1

VILLANOVA, PA - In their final tuneup before opening play in the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament, the Temple men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 match to city-rival Villanova Tuesday afternoon. The match was held at the Villanova Tennis Complex.
Junior Yhonny Murray picked up the Owls' lone point, defeating VU's John Toppel in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, at the number two position. Murray also teamed with junior Tyler Wynne for an 8-6 win at first doubles. The win upped their doubles mark to an impressive 12-2 on the season.
Temple, now 3-5 on the season, will begin play in the A-10 Tournament on Thursday, April 8. The seeding for the tournament to be held at the Oxford Athletic Club in Monroeville,PA will be determined Wednesday evening.
Villanova improves to 7-8 on the season.
