OWL CLUB TO HOST OPEN FOOTBALL PRACTICE FOR FRIENDS AND ALUMNI SATURDAY

The Temple University Owl Club will host an open football practice for its friends and alumni on Saturday, August 21. Snacks and beverages will be served at 2:00 p.m. at the Edberg-Olson Hall Football Facility, located at 10th and Diamond Streets, as Temple supporters will have an opportunity to view the new, Sprinturf surface of Chodoff Field. The field will be unveiled to the public as part of the Owls' annual media day on Tuesday, August 24.

Football practice will begin with a 10-minute stretch period at 2:00 p.m. at Geasey Field, located behind McGonigle Hall at 15th Street and Montgomery Avenue. At 2:10 p.m., the Owls will hold individual drills before conducting a 40-minute kicking-game session at 2:25. At approximately 3:05 p.m., an intrasquad scrimmage will commence consisting of alternating possessions from the 35-yard line.
