BRIAN ROGERS NAMED TEMPLE UNIVERSITY HEAD GOLF COACH

PHILADELPHIA (09/10/04) - Brian Rogers, who worked for six years as an assistant golf professional at North Hills (Pa.) Country Club and has seven years experience as golf coach at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School, has been named Temple University's head golf coach.

Rogers is the Director of Tournaments and Marketing at TL Golf Services, a golf-specific marketing, public relations and event management firm in Norristown, Pa. He also served as an assistant golf professional at North Hills (Pa.) Country Club from 1997 to 2003 and President of the Philadelphia Assistant's Organization from 2001-03. The PAO is an 185-member organization representing assistant golf professionals of the Philadelphia Section PGA of America.

Rogers has served as golf coach at Gwynedd Mercy Academy in Gwynedd Valley, Pa. since 1997. A 1993 graduate of Richard Stockton College in Pomona, N.J. with a degree in environmental science, he was assistant golf professional at Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield, N.J. from 1994 to 1996.
