TEMPLE GOLF PLACES 17TH AT NAVY FALL INVITATIONAL

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Temple University golf team, in its first tournament under the direction of new head coach Brian Rogers, finished 17th at the Navy Fall Invitational, played Sept. 11-12 at the United States Naval Academy Golf Club. The Owls shot a two round, 51-over par, 619 (315-304) on the par 71, 6,611-yard course.
Sophomore Logan Terry was Temple's top individual performer with a seven-over par 149 (76-73) to finish tied for 21st in the 105-player field. Senior Billy Mullen carded the Cherry & White's second-best score of the event, with a 14-over 156 (78-78) to finish tied for 63rd.
Towson shot a 3-under par 281 in the final round of action to claim the team title Sunday afternoon. The Tigers were tied for fifth after the first round, but blew away the field on the final day of competition to win by eight strokes over second place Winthrop.
Individual medalist honors went to Saint Joseph's Sean Seese who turned in an even-par 142 for the tournament. Seese entered the final round tied for second and edged-out William & Mary's Tim Pemberton (143, +1) who was the event leader after day one.
