PHILADELPHIA - Temple University golf has selected In Full Swing Golf Academy, the largest and best indoor golf facility in the tri-state area, as its official indoor practice facility.
"The facilities at In Full Swing give us the flexibility and ability to practice year-round," said Temple head coach Brian Rogers. "The state-of-the-art amenities will allow us to work on all aspects of our game. This will prove to be a huge advantage going into the spring season and the future. A full-time practice facility is key to the success of any program."
Located on Bethlehem Pike in North Wales, Pa., the 16,000+ square foot facility features an 800+ square foot putting green, a 1500+ square foot sand bunker, a 3000+ square foot chipping area and 13 full swing stations. It is heralded by several local golf professionals as the best place to practice and hone your skills in the off-season.
According to research, 80% of strokes golfers lose to par are determined in the short game. With that in mind, In Full Swing has used the best in simulated turf technology and designed each practice area to accommodate as many different short shot opportunities as possible making this the most unique and effective place to practice golf indoors.
Temple, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, is consistently one of the strongest programs in the Mid-Atlantic Region, having competed in 14 NCAA National Tournaments and eight NCAA East Regionals. Numerous former Owls have played on the PGA Tour, including Tom Carter, who ranked 24th in driving distance and 37th in eagles en route to $395,780 in winnings in 2004.
