CLINTON BETTERS ECAC QUALIFYING TIME AT GREAT DANE CLASSIC

NEW YORK, NY -- Senior Rachel Clinton bettered her ECAC-qualifying time of 8.09 and finished third in the 55m hurdles at Sunday's Great Dane Classic at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York City. Clinton also posted a season-best time of 25.87 in the 200m dash. As a team, Temple finished 10th in the event, which was won by Northeastern.
Senior Jessica Dunston also had a strong showing in the 55m hurdles, matching her ECAC-qualifying and season-best time of 8.21 to place fifth. Sophomore Tynisha Gardner finished third in the 400m dash with a season-best time of 58.02 and classmate Rachel Johnson finished sixth in the 500m (1:18.38).
Freshman Mary Claire Curran finished seventh in the 800m (2:25.41), right ahead of teammate Aisha Raheem (2:25.80). In the jumps, senior Jillian Faulks had a leap of 35'6 1/2" to finish ninth in the triple jump.
Northeastern (132) bettered Monmouth (115) for the team crown, followde by host Albany (99.5), Seton Hall (73), and Lafayette (58).
Temple returns to action on Saturday, January 22 at the Princeton Relays.
