#24/25 WOMEN GO FOR 14TH STRAIGHT AND UNBLEMISHED A-10 RECORD WITH GAME VS XAVIER ON SUNDAY

PHILADELPHIA - The #24/25 Temple women (16-3 8-0 A-10), whose 13-game winning streak is currently tied for the longest in the country, will look to go 9-0 in the Atlantic 10 when they host Xavier (13-5, 7-0 A-10) on Sunday at noon. The Owls and the Musketeers are the only remaining teams in the conference that are undefeated in league play. The game can be seen live on Comcast SportsNet.
Temple survived a tough GW squad to take home its 13th straight win, 72-64, on Thursday night. The Owls were led by Cynthia Jordan, who scored 26 points, hitting four of five three-pointers. Candice Dupree earned her ninth double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Kamesha Hairston came up big on the defensive end with 10 defensive boards to compliment her 13 points.
Dupree leads the way for TU with 16.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game to pace three Owls in double figures. She is followed by Jordan (13.6 ppg, 4.58 apg) and Hairston (11.9 ppg, 5.8 rpg). Ari Moore is averaging 5.6 rpg.
Next up for the Owls is a trip to Pittsburgh to take on Duquesne University on February 6 at 2:00 p.m.
Tara Boothe scored a team-high 17 points to lead four Musketeers in double figures as Xavier beat Dayton, 73-54 on Thursday night. The Musketeers are on a bit of a winning streak as well, having defeated their last six opponents. Senior Adeola Olanrewaju dropped 13 points and snared 11 rebounds. Miranda Green had 14 points and eight assists, while Suntana Granderson had 11 points.
Boothe leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 18.0 ppg and 7.7 rpg. Green is second on the team in scoring (11.2 ppg) and had dished a team-best 79 assists. Granderson is the third Musketeer to average in double figures with 10,4 ppg.
