DUPREE EARNS SECOND A-10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOD

PHILADELPHIA- Candice Dupree earned her second Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor after averaging 24.5 ppg. and 12 rpg. to lead the Owls over their second ranked opponent and gain a #24 national ranking for the first time in school history.
Against #25 Richmond, Dupree scored a career-high 31 points, including 18 in the first half, and grabbed 12 boards to give Temple an 82-62 win at the Robins Center. Against GW, Dupree earned her league-leading ninth double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds to give Temple its first win over GW in three years. The junior leads the league in rebounding and field goal percentage.
Temple is currently on a 13-game winning streak, which is tied for the longest winning streak in the nation. It also breaks the school record for most consecutive wins in a season. The former record of 12 was set by the 1924-25 squad which played a perfect 12-0 season.
