PHILADELPHIA -- Senior Ryan Moseley scored in the fifth minute to account for all of the offense as host La Salle downed Temple, 1-0, in an Atlantic 10 Conference match Tuesday afternoon. The Owls fell to 3-10 overall and 1-3 in conference play while the Explorers improved to 6-5-3, 3-0-1.
Moseley, the reigning Soccer Seven Player of the Week, took a header from Jim Davis and blasted it past Temple keeper Tony Pratico (2 saves). It was the fifth goal of the season for Moseley and third in the past two games.
Freshman Andrew Blanchard made two saves in recording his first collegiate shutout for La Salle.
Temple next travels to Saint Joseph's for an Atlantic 10/Soccer Seven match Saturday night (7:00 p.m.).
