MEN'S TENNIS WRAPS UP FALL AT PENN CLASSIC

PHILADELPHIA, PA--The Temple men's tennis team wrapped up their fall schedule this past weekend at the Penn Classic. Sophomore Philip Gegenheimer posted a 2-1 singles record for the Owls, while Zach Tobias recorded a 1-1 mark.
In Flight A singles, Manhattan's Bogden Borta defeated Milan Juricka, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 and Princeton's Christian Husby won over Matt Struble, 6-1, 6-1. In Flight B singles, Antonio Aniello of St. Joe's defeated Jon Sy 6-1, 6-1 and Manhattan's Filip Szymik downed Kris Celtnieks, 6-1, 6-0. Tobias defeated St. Joe's Brian Costell, 6-0, 6-0, before falling to Navy's Adrian Lai 1-6, 3-6. Gegeneheimer defeated Radford's James Camery, 6-0, 6-0 and Manhattan's David Alvardo due to injury before falling to Columbia's Jake Feldman, 3-6, 4-6.
In doubles action, Penn's Tas Tobias and Jimmy Fairbanks teamed up to defeat Juricka and Sy, 8-5. Louis Desmarteaux and Alex Svetlakou of St. John's downed Struble and Gegenheimer, 8-4, while Maryland's Nickolai Nielsen and Andreas Vaage Nilsen defeated Rob Spencer and Tobias, 8-1.
