PHILADELPHIA -- Temple University seniors Tony Donatelli and Joe Brocker capped their stellar soccer careers by being selected to the 2005 Atlantic 10 Conference First Team All-Conference squad. It marked the second straight season the Owl duo has been named to the first team.
Sophomore goalkeeper Tony Pratico was also honored as honorable mention all-conference selection while freshman Jim Suevo was named to the all-Rookie Team.
Dontelli, who led the Owls with six goals and five assists for 17 points, ended his four years at Temple as the school's all-time assist leader with 21. Brocker, who scored one goal, helped lead an Owl defense that posted three shutouts and allowed just 1.74 goals against average.
Pratico posted a 0.98 goals against average in his first years as the team's starting keeper. Suevo, a starting defensive back as a true freshman, tallied one goal and one assist in his first season with the Cherry and White.
Temple finished its season with a 6-10-2 overall mark and a 4-3-2 A-10 record. The Owls tied for fifth place in the conference with Charlotte and Massachusetts, but missed out on a berth in the six-team conference tournament due to the league's tie-breaker procedure.
