ANDREW CARDAMONE NAMED TEMPLE ATHLETICS COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR

PHILADELPHIA  - Andrew Cardamone has been named Compliance Coordinator for Intercollegiate Athletics, it was announced today by Temple University Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw. Cardamone arrives in Owl Country after having served as an academic counselor at the University of Oklahoma since 2002.

At Oklahoma, Cardamone served as primary academic counselor for baseball, softball, women's soccer and golf while mentoring at-risk student-athletes and providing strategies for their success. Prior to his tenure in Norman, he worked as an intern at the University of Delaware in the Student Services for Athletes Department from August 2001 to May 2002.

A native of LaVerne, Calif., Cardamone is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), the National Consortium for Academics and Sport (NCAS) and the National Association for Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A).

A 1999 graduate of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Cardamone was a four-year varsity baseball letterman as a left-handed pitcher for the Hawks before receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in business administration. He earned a Master of Education degree in counseling and psychological services with a concentration in athletic counseling from Springfield (Mass.) College in May, 2002.
