TEMPLE FALLS TO MARYLAND IN MEN'S TENNIS

COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Temple men's tennis team dropped its fifth straight match, falling to host Maryland, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon. The Owls are now 1-7 on the season while the Terps improve to 6-4.
Maryland jumped on Temple quickly capturing all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. Ian Bliss and Troy Demers topped Tyler Wynne and Yhonny Murray, 6-1, 6-3. Scott Fink and Ben Graham defeated Matt Struble and Elad Ziv, 8-1. David Reichsfeld and Michael Coleman shut out Joe Listanski and Chris Kris Celtnieks, 6-1, 6-3.
The Terps then swept the Owls in singles action. Bliss defeated Wynne, 6-3, 7-5. Troy Demers got past Yhonny Murray, 6-1, 6-3. Scott Fink defeated Matt Struble, 6-0, 6-3. Reichsfeld topped Elad Ziv, 6-3, 6-3. John O'Rourke cruised past Joe Listanski, 6-0, 6-0. Michael Coleman rounded out the day for the Terps by defeating Kris Celtnieks, 6-1, 6-3.
