DURHAM, NC -- Sophomore Tynisha Gardner and freshman Jessica Starace just missed ECAC qualifying standards as the Temple women's outdoor track team competed at the Duke and Delaware Invitationals this weekend. Gardner won her heat in the 400m in a time of 56.84, while Starace ran a time of 25.69 in the 200m dash.

Other strong showings were turned in by Natashia Gehr (26.64, 200m) and senior Rachel Johnson (58.44, 400m).

At Delaware, freshman Uche Ofodile finished third in the 200m dash with a time of 26.44. Senior Jillian Faulks finished third in the triple jump with a distance of 34'5 3/4.

Temple returns to action next weekend at the Morgan State Invitational.
