WOMEN'S TRACK HAS STRONG SHOWING AT PRINCETON

PRINCETON, NJ -- The 4x400 relay ran an Atlantic 10 best and ECAC qualifying mark of 3:50.11 in winning the event at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday. The quartet was comprised of sophomores Tynisha Gardner and Rachel Johnson and freshmen Shanice DePass and Jessica Starace. Junior Erin Davis nearly met the ECAC standard in the high jump and finished second by clearing 5'5".

Gardner and freshman Cheryl Anscombe finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 200m dash with times of 25.23 and 25.46. DePass was fifth in the 400m (58.61), while Anscombe also placed fifth in the 100m (12.64).Senior Farren Benson finished second in the long jump (17'9 1/2").

Several Temple athletes will compete at the prestigious Penn Relays beginning on Wednesday at Franklin Field.
