TEMPLE CREW RACES BUCKNELL, FORDHAM, AND LEHIGH

SHAMOKIN DAM, PA -- The women's crew hit the water on Saturday against host Bucknell, Fordham, and Lehigh on the Susquehanna River in Shamokin Dam, PA. Racing upstream against the current, the Owls claimed a second place finish in the Varsity 8 and third place finishes in the JV 8, Novice 8 and Novice 4.
The Varsity 8 of Sarah Evancho (cox), Stephanie Hanlin (stroke), Regina Rahill (7-seat), Nicole Warrick (6-seat), Ulana Luciw (5-seat), Leah Silverstein (4-seat), Rachel Jordan (3-seat), Callie Gunnet (2-seat), and Kristen Herrmann (bow) finished second beating Fordham who beat them last week at the A-10 Championship. Bucknell won with a time of 6:40.05 followed by Temple (6:44.81), and Fordham (6:56.41).
The JV 8 of Robin Wang (cox), Lauren Fattori (stroke), Lauren Guttilla (7-seat), Alexis Sakulich (6-seat), Emily Smith (5-seat), Pia King (4-seat), Dama Lewis (3-seat), Amanda Barr (2-seat), and Nicole Toner (bow) finished third. Fordham won the final in a time of 7:22.57 followed by Lehigh (7:29.77), and Temple (7:34.29).
The Novice 8 of Jennifer Azeles (cox), Lindsay Mauk (stroke), Robin Hernandez (7-seat), Anne Marie Mikolajewski (6-seat), Sherri Long (5-seat), Laura Austin (4-seat), April Gaskins (3-seat), Ariel Weissburg (2-seat) and Jenn Scattene (bow) raced to a third place finish. Bucknell won the race in 7:15.46 followed by Fordham (7:22.07) and Temple (7:34.69).
The Novice 4 Christina Spino (cox), Sara Nguyen (stroke), Jackie Swan (3-seat), Kate Guth (2-seat), and Lauren Hard (bow) raced to a third place finish. Bucknell won in a time of 8:36.10 followed by Fordham (8:39.09) and Temple (9:15.31).
