Terry won the tournament by five strokes over former Temple teammate Billy Mullen, who finished tied for second at two-over-par 143. Mullen completed his eligibility this past spring while serving as team captain under first-year head coach Brian Rogers.
Terry was named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Academic All-Conference team in the spring. He competed in all 12 events during the 2004-05 season and had a 77.0 stroke average based on 2,042 strokes in 26.5 rounds. He finished tied for ninth at The McLaughlin in September with a nine-over 219 (70-77-72) and shot a career low 68 in the second round of the James Madison Invitational in October en route to a 17th place finish. Terry placed tied for 18th at the Scotty Duncan Memorial (May 1-2) to help Temple to the tournament title and tied for 25th at the A-10 Championship with a 1.5-round 117. He played 14 rounds at 76 or better and six rounds at 73 or better in 2004-05.
