BETHPAGE, NY -- The Temple University golf team shot a three-round 878 (293-288-297) to finish 10th out of 14 schools at The McLaughlin, played September 23-24 at Bethpage Country Club. Junior Logan Terry, who struggled in the Owls' first three tournaments this year, found his rhythm and finished 12th with a two over-par 212 (72-68-72) effort in the 76-player field.

Host Saint John's and Winthrop tied for the team title with 847 totals in windy conditions on the par 70, 6,695-yard course. Drexel finished in the show position with an 848. The Dragons's Keith Snyder and Iona's Paul Selvaggio shared the individual crown with three-under 207 scores.

Junior James Boose (73-71-75) and freshman Adam Pifer (73-73-73) complemented Terry as the pair finished tied for 33rd with 219's. Sophomore A.J. Tomasello (t-61st, 75-76-78=229) and freshman Pat Rugg (t-66th, 76-78-77=231) rounded out the Cherry & White scorecard.

Temple, under the direction of second-year head coach Brian Rogers, returns to the links for the Philadelphia Big 5 Championship, played October 15-16 at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Flourtown, Pa. The Owls are seeking to reclaim the Big 5 trophy they won in 2003.
