VERNON HONORED AS ATLANTIC 10 CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA-After helping the Owls to two straight conference victories over the weekend, Temple volleyball freshman Patricia Vernon has been honored as the Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week. 

Vernon led Temple to 3-0 victories over Saint Louis and Duquesne after hitting .405, averaging 3.33 kills per game and posting just six errors.  She was the only Owl to record double-digit kills in both matches in sweeps of the Billikens and Dukes.

Vernon also earned five block assists in both match-ups to further add to her consistent play.  The freshman is second on the team in blocking, blocking 35 opponent attacks.
