MEN' S TENNIS TOPS DEFENDING A-10 CHAMP RICHMOND, 3-2

RICHMOND, VA --  -- The Temple men's tennis team notched a big win Sunday, defeating defeaning Atlantic 10 Conference champion Richmond, 3-2, in its final match of the VCU 4-1 Invitational Sunday morning.  The Owls improve to 4-2 on the season.

Senior Milan Juricka dropped his first set, 6-2,  to Doug Banker, but came back to defeat the Spiders' #1 player, by winning the final two sets, 6-4, 6-4.  Senior Daniel Davis won for the second straight day, defeating Bobby McNally, 6-1, 7-6 (6) at second singles..  Sophomore Philip Gegenheimer picked up the Owls final win, 6-1, 6-4, over Brett Waikart at fourth singles.

Temple next hosts Saint Francis on Saturday, January 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cheltenham Tennis Courts.
