Hairston Earns Second Straight A-10 Player of the Week Honor

PHILADELPHIA- Senior Kamesha Hairston (Toledo, Ohio/Bowsher) earns her second straight Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor after averaging 23.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Owls. She also had 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals on the week.
In a narrow loss to top-ranked Maryland on Sunday, the senior scored 28 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Temple. She scored 10 points in an 18-1 run that put the Owls ahead with under six minutes left to play. Earlier in the week, Hairston recorded her third double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds in a 78-52 win over Stony Brook.
Hairston leads the Owls and the A-10 and is currently ranked third in the nation in scoring, averaging 22.3 ppg. She is also tops in rebounding, with 9.4 rpg.
