Boeni, McRae Named A-10 Indoor Track Rookies Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA - Temple freshmen Tim Boeni and Brittney McRae have been named the Atlantic 10 Rookies of the Week for men's and women's indoor track and field, respectively, the league office announced on Monday. Each athlete won an event and finished second in another as the Owls opened the indoor season at the Jack Pyrah Invitational on Friday at Haverford College.

Boeni won the long jump (22-3 ½) and was second in the 300m (36.30) on Friday, while McRae won the long jump (17-11) and was second in the 55m hurdles (8.55). She also finished seventh in the 300m (42.77) at the Jack Pyrah Invitational.

Temple returns to action on Friday at the Princeton Invitational.
