PHILADELPHIA- Temple (4-3) welcomes the #1 team in the nation for the second straight season when it hosts the undefeated Maryland Terrapins (11-0) on Sunday at 2 p.m. This is the first meeting for the two teams since the 1991-92 season but the Terps own a 10-1 all-time record against the Owls. The game can be heard live on The Big Talker, 1210 AM WPHT.

Kamesha Hairston earned her third straight double with 19 points and 14 rebounds and Lady Comfort scored a career-high 25 points to lead Temple over Stony Brook, 72-58, on Wednesday night Hairston had a double-double in the first half (14 pts, 10 rebs) for the second straight game, and Comfort posted 18 second-half points, to allow the Owls to avenge a devastating 58-56 loss to the Seawolves last season. Comfort added seven rebounds and a career-high three steals. LaKeisha Eaddy scored a career-high nine points to go along with four assists and two steals. Ashley Morris dished a team-high five assists.

Hairston leads Temple in scoring and rebounding, averaging 21.4 ppg and 9.9 rpg. Fatima Maddox is second with 14 ppg. Comfort is third, averaging 10.9 ppg and tied for second in rebounding (6.0 rpg) with Jasmine Stone. Eaddy has dished a team-leading 25 assists thus far this season.

Kristi Toliver scored 15 points, Laura Harper had 13 and No. 1 Maryland closed the first half with a 20-0 run in a 77-33 romp of Northern Iowa on Wednesday night. Crystal Langhorne added 12 points for the Terrapins (11-0), off to their best start since winning their first 16 games of the 1982-83 season. Maryland charged to a 35-8 halftime lead, forcing Northern Iowa into 4-for-35 shooting in the first half.

Crystal Langhorne leads five Terps in double figure scoring, averaging 14.8 ppg. She is also tops in rebounds (8.3 rpg). Shay Doran is second with 13.9 ppg and Cheltenham's own Laura Harper is third with 12.9 ppg. Marissa Coleman and Kristi Toliver are chipping in with 11.3 and 10.3 ppg, respectively.

#1 of a Kind
For the second straight season, Temple hosts the #1 team in the nation tonight. Last season, the Owls welcomed #1 Tennessee to the Liacouras Center. This is the third straight season the Owls are facing the nation's top-ranked team. TU is 0-3 all-time against #1 ranked opponents.

Temple is currently 1-2 against the ACC this season. The Owls defeated Georgia Tech, 76-62, on Nov. 20 and fell, 71-65, at Virginia (Nov. 29) and, 59-57, at NC State (Dec. 2).
