TEMPLE WOMEN MAKE LARGEST JUMP OF THE WEEK IN AP POLL TO #17

PHILADELPHIA- After earning two crucial victories over the weekend, including a 70-36 thumping of Dayton on Sunday, the Temple women's basketball team jumped from #23 to #17 in the latest Associated Press Poll. The Owls are currently tied with Boston College for the #17 spot and tied Utah for the largest jump of the week.
Temple defeated the Saint Joseph's Hawks, 59-53, on Friday night behind 20 points and 17 rebounds from Candice Dupree to earn its second straight Big Five title. Dupree continued her spectacular play on Sunday, netting 20 points, including 16 in the first half, to lead Temple over Dayton, 70-36.
TU is currently 20-6 overall and 11-3 in A-10 play. The Owls are tied with George Washington for second place in the Conference.
