MEN'S TENNIS DOUBLES 2005 WIN TOTAL WITH 7-0 VICTORY OVER RHODE ISLAND

KINGSTON, RI -- The Temple men's tennis team won its third straight match, defeating host Rhode Island, 7-0, Saturday evening. The Owls are now 6-2 under first year head coach Steve Mauro. The six wins is double last year's total and is the most since the Cherry and White posted a 6-10 mark in 2000-01.
Seniors Milan Juricka and Daniel Davis took their first and second single positions whole junior Matt Struble and freshman Eduardo Saavedra were victorious at the third and fourth slots. Sophomores Phil Gegenheimer and Zach Tobias rounded out the singles sweep with wins at five and six, respectively.
In doubles action, junior Jordan Krevitz, playing in his first collegiate match, teamed with Saavedra for a win at the first spot. Gegenheimer and Juricka earned a victory at second doubles while Struble and Davis completed the sweep at the third slot.
Temple next plays at St. Thomas in Miami, Fla. on March 7.
