MILAN JURICKA NAMED TO A-10 MEN'S TENNIS ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

PHILADELPHIA -- Senior Milan Juricka capped a fine season with the Temple men's tennis team by being named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis All-Conference team. Juricka was the only Owl named to the 12-man squad.
Juricka, a native of the Czech Republic posted a 23-10 singles record in his first year with the team. He won all four of his matches at the A-10 Championships to help the Owls finish third. A transfer from Norfolk State where he earned all-conference honors, Juricka was 9-1 at first singles and 8-5 at second singles this season. He also posted a 13-8 doubles mark, mainly with sophomore Philip Gegenheimer.
As a team, Temple, under first year coach Steve Mauro, compiled a 17-8 record. It was an improvement of 14 wins over last year's 3-9 mark.
