WOMEN'S TRACK SPLITS SQUADS AT DUKE AND DELAWARE

DURHAM, NC - The Temple women's track and field team split its squad this weekend at the Duke and Delaware Invitationals and both groups had successful outings. At Duke, sophomore Shanice DePass ran season-best times in the 400m (59.27) and the 800m (2:19.80), while freshman Amanda Cole broke her own program record in the hammer throw with a distance of 121-8.

Freshman Devon DuPont ran a season-best time in the 200m (26.03) to finish 21st, while classmate Carlleen Allison also ran a sub-1:00 time in the 400m (59.58). The 4x100 (49.93) and 4x400 (4:02.36) relays also put forth their best times of the season.

At Delaware, sophomore women's basketball player Lady Comfort made her first appearance on the track and field team by competing in the shot put. Comfort had the team's best shot of the season to finish sixth (35-10). Sophomore Noelle McKenzie also had a personal best in the 800m (2:23.38) to finish eighth.

Temple is off next week before heading to the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton on April 21-22.
