MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO TOWSON, 2-0, IN EXHIBITION PLAY

AMBLER, PA - Junior forward Angus Burke scored in the 14th minute and freshman forward Kevin Ruck added an insurance tally just before intermission to lead Towson past Temple, a 2-0, in a men's soccer exhibition match Monday evening at Ambler Field.
Temple coach David MacWilliams started five freshmen - Chas Chupein, Zach Fayer, J.T, Noone, Mike Puppolo and Martin Dell,Arciprete - and substituted freely throughout the match. Newcomers Derek Ludlow and Brant Hovington also saw action.
Junior Mike Minai led the Owls with two of the team's four shots. Senior Ryan Heins and Noone accounted for the other two shots.
Sophomore Bryant Hosler started in goal and recorded one save. Junior Tony Pratico entered at the half and also made one stop.
The Owls close out their exhibition season against Villanova Saturday in the Soccer Seven Play Day. The match will be held at Drexel at 6:00 p.m.
