Hairston Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA- After leading Temple to two wins, including a first-ever victory over Florida, senior captain Kamesha Hairston has been named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week. This is the fourth A-10 Player of the Week honor for the forward.
Hairston averaged 27 ppg and 9.5 rpg in two wins to allow Temple to continue its six-game winning streak. Against Florida, the senior played every single minute of the 45 minute overtime battle, scoring a career-high 34 points. She also grabbed 10 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season and notched six steals. In Friday's 71-37 rout of Brown, she had 20 points, three blocks and nine rebounds in just 24 minutes of action.
Hairston is averaging a team and league-leading 22.2 ppg and 9.9 rpg.
