Nwanah Named A-10 Men's Soccer Rookie Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA - Freshman Kenechukwu Nwanah was named Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 30. He becomes the third Owl soccer player to earn an A-10 honor, joining junior Mackenson Altidor and freshman Max Kinderwater, who earned A-10 Player and Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 9.
A native of Abuya, Nigeria, Nwanah came off the bench to tally the game-winning goal in 2-0 win over Philadelphia U. in Temple's home opener on Sept. 26. He also added an assist on other goal despite playing just 31 minutes in the contest. .For the season, he has played in four matches, starting once.
The Owls (3-4-1) next take the pitch Saturday when host city-rival La Salle at 2:00 p.m.
