Golf Struggles At Big Five Classic

FLOURTOWN, PA - The Temple men's golf team shot a two-round 319-323=642 (+74) to finish 14th at the Big Five Classic held at the Philadelphia Cricket Club this weekend. Sophomore Eric Plisko carded a 77-80=157 (+15) to tie for 47th in the 79-player field.
Freshman Sasha Bozic was second for Temple, shooting 78-83=161 (+19) to tie for 60th. Senior Paul Amess (84-78=162, +20, T-63rd), senior Kevin Busteed (80-86=166, +24, T-66) and junior Adam Pifer (85-82=167, +25, T-68) rounded out the Owls top five.
Cornell won the team title with a 299-296=595 (+27), ahead of three teams - Seton Hall, Princeton and Boston College - at 599 (+29). Penn finished eighth overall (612, +42), but first over six city teams, to capture the Big Five trophy.
George Mason's J.J. Amoruso won the individual trophy by shooting an even par 71-71=142. Boston College's Craig Kublin was one shot back at 71-72=143 (+1).
Temple will wrap up its fall season on Friday at the Mount St. Mary's Fall Classic.
