Al Golden. Temple head coach
On the final drive:
"(Adam DiMichele) was really throwing the ball poorly early in the game, but we keep evolving as an offense around him. You can see what kind of player he is. My compliments go to Coach (George) DeLeone (offensive coordinator) and to Adam, they executed the adjustments to the game plan. We prepare for those situations all the time, that was situation football right there at the end."

On the win:
"I've told my team we're slaying demons won by one. Win one MAC game, win one MAC road game ... slay them one by one. Many other times I've said and thought we could have won four or five games already, but that's my fault. I didn't get them to believe that from the beginning of the season so that we could bring that to fruition."

Quarterback Adam DiMichele
On the fourth quarter:
"That was exciting. Our defense kept us in the game. Whenever we run the two-minute drill, special things happen. I can't say enough about our guys, we know we had our backs against the wall and overcame some early turnovers. The defense was able to get us the ball back at the end of the game. Sometimes Akron's defense sat back in a cover-two and we were able to take advantage of that during the final drive."

J.D. Brookhart, Akron head coach

On Temple's last drive:
"We knew [QB Adam DiMichele] was a dangerous player coming into tonight's game. If you get a couple of tackles here and there then who knows what would have happened. (DiMichele) was able to get a few runs and complete a few passes. He worked really hard."

What Temple did different in the second half:
"Temple did a nice job of taking [WR Jabari] Arthur out of the game in the second half. They gave us a few things in the running game but that's just half of it. They defended really well and just took us out of the passing game."

On the deciding factors in today's game:
"There were three things that decided the game. They are a talented team with a quarterback that makes things happen. We had some battered bodies who would play a huge part in the defense. [DB] Brandon Anderson is limited and [DB] John Mackey is out. Those two are major contributors. Last, we just couldn't hold them. They fought hard and they are an up-and-coming program."
