LITTLESTOWN, PA - Freshman Andrew Mason is tied for the lead and has the Temple golf team just two shots back after one round at the Mount St. Mary's Fall Classic at Quail Valley GC. Mason shot a 71 (-1) and is tied with Hofstra's Sean Davy and Ottawa's Mark MacKay for the lead after 18 holes. Temple shot a 293 (+5), marking its best single-round score since carding a 292 in the final round of The McLaughlin on September 22.
Mason rebounded after carding an 88-83-171 (+27) two weeks ago at the Scotty Duncan Memorial. A one-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week (Sept. 17), Mason's 71 was the first round under par this season by an Owl.
