Council Named Assistant Women's Gymnastics Coach

PHILADELPHIA -Caitlin Council, a former student assistant coach at Towson University, has been named assistant women's gymnastics coach, as announced by head coach Aaron Murphy. Council will assist Murphy in all aspects of coaching including recruiting, travel and fundraising.
Council has been involved in all aspects of coaching and competing in women's gymnastics. She was a four-year member of the Towson University women's gymnastics team and received her bachelor's degree in physical education. She also trained at Barlow's Gymnastics where she was a three time level 9 regional qualifier.
Through many coaching stints, Council has acquired a strong coaching ability. During her time at Barlow's Gymnastics, Council was given the opportunity to coach younger teams and recreational classes for four years. After Barlow's, Council began coaching for Rebounder's Gymnastics. Throughout her time at Rebounder's, she taught recreational classes for both boys and girls. Council spent her summers coaching at the Woodward Gymnastics Camp, where she was responsible for planning daily gymnastics lessons for all four events.
