Owls Wrap Up Fall Season With Second Place Showing At Mount St. Mary's

LITTLESTOWN, PA - The Temple golf team concluded the fall portion of its schedule with a second place finish at the Mount St. Mary's Fall Classic at Quail Valley GC on Saturday. Freshmen Sasha Bozic (77-72) and Andrew Mason (71-78) each carded five-over 149 to tie for ninth in the 69-player field. The Owls finished with a 36-hole score of 595 (+19) to finish five shots behind host Mount St. Mary's.
The Owls posted their best two-round score of the fall by 29 strokes and the second place finish was tops since placing second at the Bucknell Invitational to start the season.
Sophomore Eric Plisko (76-75) and junior Adam Pifer (74-77) tied for 17th with 151 (+7). Senior Paul Amess rounded out the Temple lineup with a 72-80=152 (+8).
Mount St. Mary's won the team title with a 291-299=590 (+14). Rider's Tyler Brewington and Hofstra's Sean Davey finished tied for first with one-under 143, but the tie was broken on the course in a playoff with Brewington winning the event.
The Cherry and White will resume play in the spring under first-year head coach Brian Quinn.
