PHILADELPHIA - Temple quarterback Adam DiMichele (McKees Rocks, Pa.) underwent successful surgery on Sunday at Temple University Hospital to repair a comminuted fracture of his left tibia.
Team physician Dr. Ray Moyer performed the surgery. The redshirt junior is expected to make a full recovery.
DiMichele suffered the season-ending injury on Saturday during the second quarter of Temple's 24-17 win over Miami (OH). Prior to leaving the game, the Owls' signal caller threw a perfect 4-for-4 for 36 yards. Two minutes prior to his injury, the team captain scored Temple's second touchdown to put TU ahead, 14-7.
DiMichele started all eight games for Temple this fall, leading the squad to three consecutive wins. On Oct. 15, he was named the MAC Offensive co-Player of the Week honors for the East division and the OwlSports.com Athlete of the Week.
Temple (3-5, 3-2 MAC) has a bye this week. The Owls return to action on Friday, Nov. 2 at Ohio. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
