Temple Volleyball To Participate In Dig For The Cure

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple volleyball team is partnering with 65 other college, universities and high schools to raise money for breast cancer research in the 2007 Dig For The Cure. For ever dig the Owls record against La Salle on October 9, they will donate money to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Founded in 2003, Dig For The Cure if a campaign designed to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research while providing a united community service project for the entire volleyball community.

Temple will also we accepting pledges throughout the month of October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Last season, the Owls were one of the participating programs from the Atlantic 10 that combined to raise nearly $23,000. As a conference, the A-10 was second only to the Atlantic Coast Conference in total money raised.
