Notes:

Brownell nailed a 39-yard field goal with just nine seconds on the clock to give Temple its first win of the season, a 16-15 victory over Northern Illinois. After missing a 37-yard attempt in the first quarter, the redshirt sophomore came back to redeem himself with 25-yarder in the second quarter to give TU a 10-6 halftime lead. He also converted a 38-yard FG in the third to put TU ahead, 13-6. Brownell also shared MAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for the East Division.
