Philadelphia, PA - Three Temple men's soccer players received Atlantic 10 Conference postseason honors yesterday. Junior Mackenson Altidor earned Honorable Mention All-Conference while sophomore J.T. Noone was named to the Academic All-Conference Team and freshman Brian Henderson was named to the All-Rookie Team.
Altidor, a junior sweeper back, spearheaded a Temple defense that allowed barely over one goal per contest. He was also named the MVP of the Drexel Invitational earlier in the season.
Henderson, a native of Webster, Massachusetts, appeared in all 18 matches for Temple this season, starting 10. He was the offensive leader for the Owls leading the team with four goals and eight points. Henderson also led the team in shots with 32 and shots on goal with 14.
Noone adds yet another honor to his already impressive collection this season. Earlier in the season, he was named to the Drexel Invitational all-tournament team. He was also named to ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-District 2 University Division Second Team with his impressive 3.93 cumulative GPA. His academic performance was first awarded this past April when he was named to the President's Honor Roll at the University's Breakfast of Champions. Noone also was a key performer on the field this season leading the Owls with five assists.
