PHILADELPHIA- Temple women's basketball head coach Dawn Staley, has announced that Miranda Tate (Chicago, Ill./Bolingbrook) and Kristen McCarthy (La Puente, Calif./Bishop Amat) have both signed National Letters of Intent as members of the class of 2012.

"Miranda and Kristen are both very athletic and talented players who can score," said Staley. "We will expect them to make an immediate impact on both our team and the program as a whole."

McCarthy, a 6-foot forward, has been named one of HoopGurlz.com's Finest 150 players from Coast to Coast.
