Kalamazoo, Mich.-Temple will play its fourth Mid-American Conference team of the season with it travels to Western Michigan on Sunday. Tip off is set for 2 p.m. This is the second meeting between the Temple Owls and the Western Michigan Broncos. Temple leads the series, 1-0 and won the last meeting, 78-35 on December 19, 2006 in Philadelphia.

The Owls are 7-1 against Mid-American Conference teams, with its only loss coming at the hands of Bowling Green on Nov. 24, 2006.

Foul.  That is the only word to describe the game between the Temple Owls and the #3/6 Maryland Terrapins. The Terps were whistled for 14 fouls, 11 less than the Owls, as they rolled to the 64-46 win on Sunday. Ashley Morris led Temple with 13 points, while Shenita Landry had 10 points. The physical game saw the Owls whistled for 25 fouls, including 17 in the second half and a technical foul on Dawn Staley for good measure. The Terps took 32 trips to the free throw line, converting on 24 of them. Temple didn't help its cause, however, committing 21 turnovers and shooting just 32.8% from the field. The Terps committed 17 turnovers and made 46.3% of their shots.

Morris leads Temple in scoring and assists, averaging 16.6 ppg and dishing 32 assists. She also leads Temple in three-point shooting, making 36.9% of her attempts. Lady Comfort is averaging nearly a double-double with 8.7 rpg, and 10.1 ppg. LaKeisha Eaddy has a team-high 18 steals. Landry is tops in blocks with 10.

Western Michigan snapped a four-game losing streak and kept University of Illinois-Chicago winless on the road with a 51-39 victory Saturday. Ebony Cleary was a force on both ends of the floor, scoring eight points and grabbing a team season-high 14 rebounds - 10 of those coming on the defensive glass. Michelle DeNooyer and Sara Vest each scored nine points off the bench to lead WMU scorers. Shooting 4-for-5 from the floor, and adding a free throw, it was a career-high for DeNooyer. Neither team had a player reach double figures.

Tierra DeLaHoussage leads the Broncos in scoring, averaging 9.6 ppg. She is also tops in steals (27) and assists (62).  Cleary is WMU's top rebounder, averaging 6.8 rpg.

Nationally Ranked
As a team, the Owls are ranked in the Top 45 in the nation in two statistical categories. The Owls are 25th in scoring defense (53.8) and 42nd in rebounding margin (+6.9).

Greatest Of All Time
Dawn Staley is just 12 wins away from becoming Temple's all-time winningest coach. In her eighth season, Staley currently boasts a 155-73 record. Only Linda Hill MacDonald, who led Temple from 1980-90, has more wins, finishing with a 166-130 mark in 10 seasons.
