Morris Named Philadelphia Big Five Player Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA- After averaging 20.5 two games last week, senior Ashley Morris was voted the Big Five Player of the Week. This is the first Big Five honor of Morris' career.
Morris had a prolific scoring week as she led the Owls in scoring in both a win against Ball State and a close loss against national contender NC State. Against Ball State she scored a team-high 13 points and added three rebounds as the Owls won, 72-48. She saved her best for NC State when she put the Owls on her back and went for a career best 28 points, more than half of the Owls total half. Unfortunately, her effort was not enough as the Owls fell, 57-52.
The Philadelphia native is averaging a team-leading 17.8 ppg and 3.4 apg.
