COLLEGEVILLE, PA - Junior Cheryl Anscombe won the 55m in a season-best time of 7.33 and was third in the 200m (27.09) to lead the Temple women's indoor track team to a second place finish at the Frank Colden Open at Ursinis College on Saturday. Temple also sent two competitors to the New Balance Collegiate Invitational at the New York City Armory and was led by freshman Melissa Gale's 12th place finish in the pole vault (10-10).

Junior Kimberlyn Hill won the triple jump (35-11), sophomore Rose Drayton was fifth in the 55m (7.67), while classmate Carlleen Allison (1:01.14) and junior Jasselle Cruz (1:01.21) finished fourth and fifth in the 400m, respectively. Junior Noelle McKenzie was third in the 800m (2:26.27), while classmate Molly Curran was also third in the 1000m (3:05.81).

Sophomore Devon DuPont placed fifth in the 55m hurdles in a time of 8.99. In the relays, the 4x200 of Anscombe, Cruz, Drayton and Allison won the event in 1:47.60. The 4x400 relay also won (4:06.59) and was comprised of junior Shanece Pratt, Allison, Anscombe, and Drayton.

Towson won the event with 165 points, followed by Temple (83), Johns Hopkins (59), Gettysburg (43.5) and Dickinson (35.5).

Freshman Brittney McRae was the only other competitor to the Armory and finished 36th in 15-9 1/2.
