SWARTHMORE, PA - Under newly named captain, senior Daniel Davis, the Temple men's tennis team improved to 3-2 on the season with a 6-1 win at Swarthmore Saturday afternoon.
Davis won his first singles match of the season, defeating Jonathan Lo, 6-1, 6-3 at second singles. He was one of five Owl singles players to win as #1 Nathan Spunda, #3 Zachary Tobias, #4 Pavlos Stephanides and #5 Gonzalo DaVilla all were victorious at first, third, fourth and fifth, respectively,
Spunda and Tobias won their second doubles match while Ron Spencer and Stephanides took the third doubles match to earn the point for Temple.
The Owls next play on February 10 at Carnegie Mellon.
