Stone Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA- Freshman forward Jasmine Stone has been voted the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Week for the week ending February 5. Stone provided a strong spark off the bench in two big wins for Temple to keep the Owls unbeaten in A-10 play. This is her first Conference honor.
Stone shot eight-of-nine (89%) from the field and averaged 8.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in wins over Xavier and Dayton. Against Xavier, Stone earned six points on a perfect three-of-three clip from the field and six rebounds in just 14 minutes of action. In Sunday's win vs. Dayton, the Detroit, Mich. Native posted a career-high 11 points and nine rebounds.
Stone is averaging 2.6 ppg and 5.6 rpg in just 14.5 minutes per game.
