PLYMOUTH, MI - The Temple Owls were well represented Saturday afternoon when the Philadelphia KiXX defeated the Detroit Storm, 13-8 to win the MISL Championship. Three former Owls - Tony Donatelli, Steven Wacker and Patrick Hannigan -played an integral part in the KiXX run to the title, their first since 2002.

Donatelli, a 2006 Temple graduate, was one of three KiXX to play in every game, finishing fourth on the squad in scoring with 45 points. The Owls' all-time assist leader was named to the MISL All-Rookie Team along with Hannigan. A 2005 graduate, Hannigan, one of the top goalkeepers in Cherry and White history, served as a backup to all-league keeper Peter Pappas. He did not allow a goal in his four games of action off the bench.

Wacker, a 2005 graduate, scored four goals in his 19 games played after missing the early part of the 2006-07 season due to injury.

The three Owls were part of two Temple teams (`03, '04) that advanced to the finals of the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships under head coach David MacWilliams. Heading into his eighth season at the helm of the Owl program, MacWilliams was an All-Star coach for the KiXX and the Baltimore Spirit prior to his taking over the Temple program.
