EWING, NJ - Sophomore Carlleen Allison won the 400m in an ECAC-qualifying time of 56.32 as the Temple women's outdoor track team competed at the TCNJ Invitational on Saturday. Her time was also a season-best. It was the final tune-up before next weekend's Atlantic 10 Championship at Charlotte.
Sophomore Amanda Cole broke her own school record once again, finishing second in the hammer throw (149-3). She was also second in the shot put (40-0 3/4).
Other strong showings were turned in by junior Shanice DePass, who was fifth in the 800m (2:17.62) and freshman Brittney McRae, who placed fifth in the 100m hurdles (14.81). Jasselle Cruz was fourth in the 400m hurdles (1:05.54).
Temple also sent its 4x400 relay to the Penn Relays last week. It finished 46th in a time of 3:56.92.
The Owls will travel to Charlotte for the Atlantic 10 Championship this weekend.
