PHILADELPHIA - Temple University men's soccer players Mackenson Altidor and Jared Harris have been named to the 2007 Atlantic 10 Conference Preseason All-Rookie Team. Altidor and Harris highlight a strong incoming class that includes seven players that have signed National Letters of Intent to play men's soccer for the Owls.

Altidor, a junior back, played the previous two seasons at Northern Oklahoma Junior College. A native of Abaco, Bahamas (Abaco Central), he also was a member of the Bahamas National Team. Harris, a freshman midfielder, earned NCSAA All-America honors as a senior midfielder at Manheim Township last year, leading his team to a 28-1 and the state finals. The Lancaster, PA native finished his three-year prep career with 22 goals and five assists.

Altidor and Harris are joined by incoming signees: freshman forward Hannes Egebrand (Gavle, Sweden/Polhemsskolan), freshman forward Brian Henderson (Webster, MA/Bartlett), freshman back Derek Ley (Cupertino, CA/Monta Vista), freshman midfielder Tom Reilly (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) and freshman forward Greg Strompolos (Aurora, CO/Overland).

Temple, under the direction of eighth-year head coach David MacWilliams, opens its 2007 season at Navy on August 31.
