Men's Soccer To Host Philadelphia U. In Home Opener Wednesday

AMBLER, PA - Home, Sweet Home! After seven straight road games to open the season, the Temple men's soccer team hosts Philadelphia University Wednesday, September 26 at 3:30 p.m. in its 2007 home opener at the Ambler Soccer Complex. The Owls are 2-4-1 on the year while the Rams enter play 0-6-1. It is the Soccer 7 opener for both teams.
The Owls have sported a balanced attack so far with six players each scoring one goal. Senior Mike Minai and freshman Max Kinderwater lead the squad with three points each. Senior goalkeeper Tony Partico returned from injury in the Owls' last game, a 1-0 loss at Hartford. He owns a 1-2-1 record with a 0.95 goals against average.
Spencer Beiter has the only Ram goal on the season. Goalkeeper Ezra Cassell has been strong in the net, allowing just seven goals for a 0.97 goals against average. He has allowed more than one goal in just one match, a 2-0 loss to Rider.
